Each of the orphans stories are unique, but all of their needs are the same: a safe shelter where they are cared for and loved. Over the years EWO has ministered to the orphans’ needs through the regular financial support, distribution of medical supplies, food, clothing and toys, as well as with teams of volunteers. Monthly sponsors are needed to cover the financial needs of these children.
We started Light & Hope as we saw the need to help the poor with not just a "hand-out" but rather a "hand-up". Many Romanians continue to live in poverty and we believe that education and the love of Christ can bring CHANGE.
We offer food, clothing and shoes to children living in poverty along with equipping them for school and helping them with needs to stay in school. This is one of the keys to stopping the cycle of poverty generated. We are located in Hunedoara, Romania.
From this outreach work it has opened the door for bible studies, salvation, baptisms, church plants and so much more. It is our mission to not forget the poor of Romania, sharing God's LIGHT & HOPE.
The plight of the children in Mexico is much the same as those in Romania and throughout the world. The stories of what some of these children have lived through prior to coming to EMPIRE OF LOVE will break your heart, but we have seen God release deep healings of His love into their hearts. This program educates and feeds the children in dire situations, bringing hope and future to these kids.
Since 2023 we have been partnering with a number of contacts in Kampala Uganda, including One Mission Church pastored by Peter and Shallott Namawa and The Gavin School led by Stephen and Maria Egesa. Both couples are preaching the gospel of Christ, making disciples and serving the poor. An EWO board member has been in country and on-site with both of these ministries in 2024 and 2025; and seen first hand the powerful things God is doing.
One Mission Church
Pastor Peter is an evangelist, teacher and church planter. He and his wife Shallot also oversee multiple ministries including weekly outreach to approximately 1000 malnourished and starving children. EWO has been partnering with their efforts to reach boys and young men in the ghettos of Kampala. On a weekly basis they are serving food, preaching the gospel and loving them. God is saving, changing lives and creating hope for young men that otherwise would be living livng as gang members. Please pray for Peter and Enoch, his assistant, as they serve God and reach out with the grace of Jesus Christ.
The Gavin School
Stephen Egesa is the administrator of a Christian elementary school of approximately 200 students including orphans and severely handicapped children. Without the love of Christ, many of these children would be caught up in lives of of trafficking, abuse and hopelessness. But this school provides the love of God and hope as well as literacy for these otherwise discarded young children. Please pray for them including Godwin, Peter, Jane and Irene who, though 10 years and younger, are but a few of the victims of kidnapping, starvation, trafficking and rape.
Faced with needs that are naturally impossible to meet, we at EWO are so thankful to see-and have a small part in-the power of God at work and be reminded that with Him, nothing is impossible.
